The people of Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church are committed to demonstrating love of God and neighbor through practical action.
We strive to (1) do no harm (2) do good and (3) stay in love with God.
In this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe one way to demonstrate love of neighbor is for our building to remain closed, because one of the primary ways the virus seems to spread is through large gatherings in enclosed spaces. By temporarily suspending our in-person gatherings, we believe we are acting in the spirit of Wesley's first rule: Do No Harm. When it becomes safe to resume in-person gatherings, we will joyfully do so!
Although our buildings are temporarily closed, the church continues to meet together in order to worship God, study God's word, and lovingly serve others. Here are some ways you can join us:
Gather with us anytime in our Facebook group "Spirit of Hope Friends and Family" Share your joys, concerns, and prayer requests with your church family. It's a private group, so anything you post will only be visible to members of the group.
Join with us Sunday mornings at 10 am on ZOOM just to "check in" with each other and share prayer concerns, followed by Bible study. We are currently utilizing the Bible Project's "Church at Home" studies, which will take us through the entire Bible.
